Meet the maker

Hi, I’m Mackenzie, the maker behind Vintage Spoon Silver.

What started as a creative outlet in 2016 has grown into a little handmade business that I’m incredibly grateful for. I’m a self-taught silversmith creating one-of-a-kind sterling silver jewelry using genuine turquoise and other stones that catch my eye.

Every piece is designed, cut, soldered, finished, and packaged by hand here in Southern Alberta — usually somewhere between raising three kids, family life, and whatever adventure we’re on next.

Behind the scenes is my husband, Taylor, who has supported this little business from the very beginning. He works as a lineman, is often away for stretches at a time, and somehow still manages to be my biggest supporter through all of my ideas, late nights, collection launches, and everything in between. Vintage Spoon Silver may be a one-woman operation, but I definitely don’t do life alone.

My work is inspired by the prairies I call home, the mountains I love escaping to, and well-worn western style. I love creating jewelry that feels a little rugged, a little vintage, and completely one of a kind.
